Thanksgiving is a day for Gentlemanly vices. I think a nice red wine, a couple of glasses of single malt scotch, and football. I might even break out the Aristocrat for a shave. I have never used it. It is sooo pretty but it is Thanksgiving after all.
Lately on non-work days I've been letting the Pinaud Clubman fly, but since we are having a family gathering I will refrain from a strong aftershave and just do a nice cream or soap and probably some witch hazel.
Since we traveled to my parent's for Thanksgiving, it will have to be the setup I've been using all week . . . '49 Aristocrat, Dorco blade, RSC Cream over VDH soap, Col Conk apothecary mug, and EJ Best Badger brush. And, of course, Clubman!!
Once properly shaved, the day belongs to enjoying family, giving thanks, and sharing mother's home cooking!!
(A little bourbon and football won't hurt, either!!)
Well, ours will be different.
Our son is here and I have introduced him to DE shaving. He likes it.
He has invited 3 of his buds for the day and I was insistent that they bring an unshaven face. I was just kidding with him, but he told them anyway. One of his buds has never been here before and is scared to death. Probably of me.
We can have a lot of fun with this. Treat them like a bunch of recruits at the 1st day of boot camp. FALL IN LADIES. Inspection, etc., etc.
