TGN (The Golden Nib) High Mountain White

I've got a brush handle that needs a new knot and I was looking at the offerings from TheGoldenNib (TGN). I really like their finest grade knots, but I noticed that they now carry a grade called "High Mountain White." I'm wondering if anybody has any experience with this grade of hair. I found a few comments scattered here and there about it, but I thought I'd start a new thread to see if anyone has thoughts about it.

I have not specifically tried TGN's version of HMW. But if it is anything like other HMW knots I have tried, it will have EXTREMELY soft tips. The HMW I have has the softest tips of any brush I have felt. The backbone will be more like a typical 3-band knot, much less than a 2-band or something labeled Manchurian. If you're main concern is finding ultra-soft tips then its probably worth a try. I would definitely recommend setting the loft at 2/1 or less as in my experience they don't have a ton of backbone. Hope this helps...
