test does pasting an image work?

Answer: not for me. It displays ok in the enhanced editor, but not in the finished post. Safari 8.0.7.
I have just copied and pasted this one Mike- from the "What's Your Brush Today?" thread.

Odd, that should be equivalent to the test I tried with Firefox 39. I wonder what is different about our systems? Maybe the editor uses flash if that is available? I keep it disabled because it has a history of security problems. Pasting images would be nice, but not nice enough to make up for allowing flash.
No problem copying and pasting an image from Google. Android Tablet running Chrome, don't think Flash is installed
EDIT: I swear it worked, but obviously it didn't. I regularly copy and paste in the Barber Shop.

I busted the bbcode above so you could look under the hood: both images were pasted from another site and were included as a URL. That is a nice capability, but not really what I was trying to do here. I am trying to paste image bits that have no URL, say from a screenshot. That seems to almost work: it tries to use a https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Data_URI_scheme. But it does not quite work or perhaps not without flash.
