Tempted to try an open comb razor

I can't wait to read your comparison between all these models & your RFB !

I don't find the RFB very different from the US LC and from the FB NEW. I think the British versions are slightly better, but not by much and the FB NEW is my favorite of them all, but the others are not far behind and I live with any of them without feeling cheated in any way.

The Merkur open comb is the opposite of getting blade closer to skin. It shaves leaving a length of stubble behind no matter how hard you might try to scrape. However it can shave right through long hair like a clipper, there is no blade gap to clog.

The Muhle R41 has a very exposed blade compared to most safety razors, it is considered one of the most aggressive razors available.
