Tell me about Yeti Snot

If you have used it let me know what you think. I am interested in it's protective and lather qualities and would like a comparison to other soaps you have used. Too strong, more pepermint or menthol etc.? I think the proraso pre-shave is very strong and that would be a good comparison.

I am thinking this and Krampert's frostbite would be the ultimate freeze.

There is a You tube video of a guy shaving with it but looking for more details.

Works as well as just about any other soap I've used...very very very very cold. Might be a bit much for some but I like it.

I've got a puck but have yet to use it, or even unwrap it. I'm waiting to get some containers in the mail, then I will open it. I don't have any empties right now. From those that have used it, it is supposed to have orders of magnitude more menthol than anything else out there. I will say, It doesn't really smell through the wrapper.

Has anyone tried Bigfoot Boogers? It is getting late and I am getting goofy. If Yeti Snot is a menthol blast it just might be my first non-shave stick soap.

CHEERS!

Their site is not up yet but they seem a little funny, crazy, Osama Bin Lather lol is another one. Ehhhh for $5.00 I'm in

Yeti Snot? Bigfoot Boogers? Meh - no thanks to either one based solely on the names, IMHO. I found my way into traditional shaving by way of admiration of the oldest, simplest, purest method of a ritual that we as men must adhere: to not look like wild beasts. I don't pay for ridiculous haircuts, I don't go to a tanning salon, and I don't buy my clothes at garish chains that pump loud music non-stop as I shop... but I do drop a single blade into an old Fatboy and lather up my badger with soaps that have stood the test of time. I don't need my shaving soap to be hip nor edgy - I want it to be old and tested by generations before me.
Also, GET OFF MY LAWN, YOUNG'UNS! :cool2:

I guess when all is said and done we are merely scraping hair off our faces.

It's only a matter of time before someone comes out with Bat Guano.

Where can I buy this???!!! Is Bat Guano the new Martin de Candre???!!!

If they did release this and it were priced higher than MdC, I can tell you a few things:
  • Someone who never tried it will say it's better than MdC
  • Someone who never tired it will say it's nowhere near as good as MdC
  • Someone will say it's a better value than MdC, which they'll admit they never tried
  • Someone will say MdC is a better value, even though they tried neither
  • Someone will say their homemade soap is better than both of them

Yeah, I don't care how good it is. I'm not trying anything called "Yeti Snot."

Agreed. I don't think I could deal with "Yeti Snot" (or "Osama bin Lather") either. I think I'm unlikely to ever know how good or bad these might be.
