What's new

TECH Tuesday

Pre-war Canadian Fat-handled Tech
Astra SP (6)
Omega 10005 Boar
DR Harris Arlington soap
Thayer’s Rose Petal
Lubriderm 3-in-1 After Shave Lotion

A close and clean 3 passes plus touch ups. Somewhere just shy of BBS with no irritation (which is perfect for me, as I shave daily).

Last night - This "O1" Travel Tech:

blade: Personna barber blade (15)
soap: The Body Shop Maca Root & Aloe
brush: 24 mm SynBad
post: alum block, cold water rinse, Pinaud Clubman

The trickiest thing with this short of a handle is that I could not see the head half the time.
The only blade positioning features in the head are the centre hole and the corner notches,
Even so, it was a pretty good shave.

My first use of my new gold plated post-war fat handle just happens to be on a Tuesday.
Just bought this from Back Roads Gold Etsy store. 24K gold plated.

Astra SP blade (3rd use)
Captain's Choice Venture soap (sample)
Maggard's 24mm marble handle synth brush
Witch hazel followed by Aqua Velva 5 in 1 balm.

Very smooth shave.
Congrats on the "new" Tech!

Tech Tuesday!

NDC ball-end Tech
Personna Blue (10)
Omega Bigger Bambino boar brush
Razorock Blue Barbershop soap
Nivea sensitive post shave balm

I was thinking I would bin this blade and go on to another razor, but it still feels like a just broken in blade.

Not Tuesday, but I just tried my pre-war, fat handle, triangle tech. Not sure if it’s Canadian.

Cella
Omega boar brush
Astra SP
Big ol’ splash of Osage Rub

What a great experience. One pass and a little touch up was a DFS.

If it's Canadian, it will say "made in Canada" on the baseplate!

I know it’s not quite Tuesday, but I’ll be traveling tomorrow and won’t be able to get a Tech shave in...

So, my early Tech Tuesday was as follows:

- Pre-war Canadian Fat Handle Tech
- Astra SP (2)
- Razorock Monster
- Proraso Green (Preshave, Cream, and ASB)
- Lather bowl from Superstore
- Alum block
- Nivea Revitalize Lotion
- Proraso Wood and Spice cologne

It was a really nice shave. Not quite BBS, but more than adequate for sure. The humble Tech continues to impress me!
