Tech Raised Flat Bottom

so I picked up what I believe to be a thin handle Gillette Tech Raised Flat Bottom And has a go with it this morning. I threw in a Gillette Silver Blue and all I can say is wow is this thing efficient and mild at the same time. I think this may be the perfect combo of mild and efficient without tearing my face off. Anyone have experience with it? If it was a TAD bit more aggressive, I wouldn’t hate it but I am super happy with where I’m at with it lol . Here’s some pics . I definitely intend to use the not thin handle as it’s like shaving with a toothpick. I’d like to ask though , what makes this razor different between a Tech Hybrid beside the handle exactly?

I have this razor (with the box), like yours. Actually, I have two. It's more aggressive than regular Tech, but still very mild. Milder than my beloved 34c. But it's a very good piece of gear.

I think this razor is great as I have a beard and can go along the edge on my cheeks or neck . It’s a keeper for sure.

Ah well, the quest continues for the RFB. That razor I do have though is awesome FWIW.

How can it be more "aggressive" when all Techs have approx. the same blade gap? It merely has a little better blade rigidity than a pre-war USA made Tech and shaves no differently than a post-war Tech.

Great score. Some regard the Flat Bottom Tech even higher than the Hybrid Tech (raised flat bottom); As long as you’re getting great shaves, there’s no need to feel disappointed.

Totally different baseplate comparing to the ones you mentioned. That fact alone brings new shaving sensation

Not in my experience. Confirmation bias is at play.

Yours is a Tech base plate with a Tech cap, I think this was the No 25 set. An RFB is a narrower, New base plate with a New cap, the Hybrid is an RFB base plate (with a bar instead of a comb) with a Tech cap.

Congratulations on your purchase. If it pleases you, that's all that matters.

My RFB is nice, but honestly it's just a razor. It takes the user to make it perform. I place no value in what someone thinks is aggressive or this and that. It's just somebody talking.

The RFB Tech is not called a RFB. It's called a Hybrid Tech.

Hybrid Techs are rare and pretty expensive. Wonderful shaver.

The flat bottom you bought is also a good razor, but it's not worth anywhere near as much as a Hybrid is.

Hello, this is a flat bottom Tech, like yours. On a Hybrid you don't see the slots viewed from the bottom.
