Team Nivea Fan Club

I may be going out on a limb here, but I am guessing just about every member of B&B has at least one Nivea product. The "Team Nivea Fan Club" is now recruiting new members. The only requirement for membership is at least one Nivea shaving product and an enthusiastic attitude for Nivea products. I personally have several Nivea products and can't imagine my shaving shelves without Nivea Sensitive ASB and a tube of Nivea Original Shave Cream...one of the best (and least expensive) shave creams and ASBs on the market.

I suggest we use the signature "Team Nivea". Share your love for all things Nivea!

I like the Nivea sensitive post shave balm with the blue logo on top. I think it’s alcohol free. I desperately wish that they would re release the energy post shave splash. I was devastated when I discovered that it’s been discontinued. I think it’s still available from Bulgaria though...

One of these days I'll try their shave cream. Their ASB is phenomenal! Never fails to calm down my skin after an overly aggressive shave.

Personally, I believe the Nivea Original to be the best shave cream on the market...and at $6 a tube it is a bargain. I have several tubes on hand at any one time (I can't stand the thought of being without) and it is my standard travel shave cream.

I have two Nivea balms that I use. In the Spring and Fall I like the "sensitive cooling" formula. When Winter came around I found the cooling effect was not pleasant when walking outdoors in cold weather with a breeze. I've become a fan of the new "maximum hydration" formula. Its pretty much the same thing without the menthol. Unfortunately the one place I found it doesn't seem to carry it any more.

I have the Nivea Cool Kick ASB that I enjoy using in summer. I must pick up some of the maximum hydration formula and give that a try.

I've been a long-time Nivea fan ...
it is my go-to brand when I'm traveling and need something quick from the drugstore.

I like it because its dirt-cheap and readily available.
And it has a mild, neutral scent that works for any season and social situation,
and Nivea plays well with other brands, one of the few times allow brand-mixing in spite of my OCD.

I do have one complaint about Nivea.

So many of its products are unavailable in the United States,
or else they are hard to find and priced way too high.

Examples:
Shaving cream ... either the blue or white tubes.
Aftershave splash ... the one that separates into a blue and clear layer.
Energy aftershave splash ... I saw it once about 3 years ago. Should have grabbed it when i had a chance.

Has anyone ever found a Nivea shampoo or conditioner?
I have a 3n1 body wash/shave/shampoo, but I'd like to get the shampoo and conditioner by itself.

Well then - I'm using "Nivea Men Sensitive Post Shave Balm - 0% alcohol".
I feel, on the one hand, like a complete idiot buying something that my younger self would have thought was only for city liberals - and on the other hand like a man who likes to calm his face when he's made it go all red by spending too much time finishing up awkward neck areas.
Am I in?

There are so many Nivea products and yes, you are correct that you can't seem to buy them all in one place. Different stores seems to carry different items. I went out today looking for Nivea products at Walmart and they had a limited selection. I want to buy some of the Nivea AS (blue) splash..but they were out. I have never seen the blue and clear layer AS you mention. Sounds very interesting. There is also a AS balm Q-10 product that I saw once in a store -- I didn't pick it up-- and have not found it since.

Slap on some Nivea ASB and come on in...add "Team Nivea" to your signature line!

I don’t mean to repeat myself but I too am upset at the fact that the Energy after shave splash is gone here in the U.S. it’s only the best splash I’ve ever used...

I have not seen the "Energy" series Nivea products here in Canada either. If you go to the Nivea website you can see they are selling in quite a few countries. I am wondering if maybe it can be found elsewhere...outside of North America?

I just had a mail call with four bottles of Nivea AS & balm, & I noticed that the alcohol content of their products has reduced greatly.
Where it used to be 75 percent, its now 13. There is also a minor change in the perfume.
What gives ?

Not sure what gives on the lower alcohol content. I am guessing they are responding to consumer demand. Personally I am not a fan of high alcohol content aftershaves. Same with scent. I imagine they do product testing with focus groups to find the magic spot of satisfaction. Personally I like the newer scent profiles of Nivea.

I do love Nivea. The Sensitive Face Wash is just the best, Glycerin based and doesn't have the grit exfoliating micro beads that the "face scrubs" have which my face hates. The sensitive ASB and sensitive cooling ASB are regulars of mine. This has also reminded me that my collection is currently lacking the Nivea shaving cream. Hell even the Sensitive canned gel gives a decent lather.

Can anyone write a short review of the Nivea Originals Aftershave Splash? I have my eye on this product, but truthfully I am not a splash kind of guy. I find many of the AS splash products have a strong...and lasting scent. And generally I can't tolerate very strong scents...and my workplace has a scent free policy. I am curious about this Nivea splash. You can buy it anywhere in Canada for about $7.
