Tea recommendation for the coffee addict?

One tablespoon and steep for 3 or 4 minutes only.

Also don't press down to the bottom but just half way.

It helps prevent bitterness.

I did this in an Assam teapot- with a little bit of sugar and milk made some of the best tea I've had in a long time

Ran across twinnings oolong in the supermarket today. Pretty good.

One thing to consider if you are used to a coffee like flavor, or even tobbacy for that matter?

Is Yerba Mate, this is a wonderful tea from South America. Do some research on it, claims to have more minerals/vitamins/goodies than green tea and the likes.

Yerba Mate is not tea. It is not Camellia Sinensis. It would be classified as a tisane.

I think the most coffee like tea I know of is Japanese Houjicha. It,s Japanese green tea (Bancha) that has been roasted untill it,s a nutty brown color. I love this stuff and it,s fairly cheap also. Below are some pics of Houjicha that I roasted at home. This was just an experiment I did one day and I can honestly say it turned out just as good as any Ive ever bought.
