Taylor DE butterfly razor

I got the razor, but on inspection it was really nothing special and certainly nothing to justify the price---almost as expensive as the Vision, which is something special. Since I didn't use it, Classic Shaving agreed to take it back and refund purchase price.

Can anyone comment on this razor from Taylor?

I've read that Merkur makes the heads for various other manufacturers, and if this is the case for this razor then I'm confused since I don't see any butterfly razors from Merkur besides the Vision.
Well Bacon,
No need to be confused, Taylor obviously is not one of the various others, and this in not a head attached to a decorative (value added) handle. Actually looks like a Parker, but who knows. Far too expensive for that source.

I have the Taylor. Save your money.

Aesthetically, it is nondescript - a dullish nickel finish.

The TTO (twist to open) or butterfly head is nice.

But this is by far the more most aggressive DE razor I've used - makes the slant bars and open comb heads tame by comparison.

But the piece de resistance is the price - it's at least 2.5X what it's worth.

Good to know, thanks for posting! I was curious about this as well.
