Tarnished blade with Gold Wash

Have a blade with nice gold wash but its tarnished and needs cleaning/polishing, what can I do or use that won't affect the gold wash?

Pictures help. If there is rust over the gold wash itself you will likely have to learn to live with the rust or the goldwash being gone.

You can clean up around the goldwash justt fine
