Bad News, the hot water and dawn made the already brittle parts more fragile and the top load plate is loose from the Rod connector. It needs to be taking apart to see if it can be forced back in. I think it is too brittle to try

Well, this thing just does not want to die. I was able to take it apart and put the plate back on. The retainer pin didnt break and it held up well. It only set from 5 to 9 which is the average shave set any way. The one set is too low so i wont set it there. She is back at 80 percent user again.......

I was too, this thing is so brittle. I am not sure what happened.
Well, she has a makeover and new hips....she is ready for a new life [ the setting is from 5 to 9 but it is better than being stuck at 1]
