Tabac EDC or EDT?

Which is better? Keep in mind my skin soaks in scent like crazy without putting much back out there to smell, so staying power is a MAJOR issue for me.

I don't have any experience with the Tabac EDT, but I have used the EDC with some success.

My skin also seems to have issues with longevity, but there is simply no issue with the Tabac EDC...it just keeps on going!

My only experience is with the edt. It goes on strong and lasts! Initially it is a killer, but calms down quickly to a very nice, soap scent. I understand from previous posts that the edt and the edc do not smell the same. John

The EDC and the EDT are two different fragrances. I once asked Mäurer & Wirtz
why they are so different and they told me that the original EDC is from 1959 and the EDT is from 1979. In 1979 they wanted to make a new version of it, respective to the "Zeitgeist" at the time.

Exactly what John said. I'd like to add that I sampled them side by side in this local fragrance shop. To me, the edt was sweeter, soapy, in a more floral and powdery kind of way. The edc, less sweet and floral, maybe more spicy. That's the best I can describe the difference, but as always, when it comes to fragrance, ymmv.

Glad I bought the "jug" of Tabac EdC instead!!I love it and in fact, used the Tabac AS and EdC this AM and can still smell it!:thumbup1:I, too, love the Speick AS, but if the Speick Cologne is so short-lived, I'd be disappointed.

I've got the Tabac EDT and EDC. In fact, right now I have the EDT on my right wrist and the EDC on the left - applied about 15 minutes ago. They are clearly different. Actually to me, the EDC is absolutely more floral than the EDT - more like a traditional eau de cologne - and more powdery. The EDT is stronger, sharper, spicier and more 'aggressive'... I like them both but prefer the EDC, which although isn't a direct match for the shave soap, is closer to it than the EDT.

Now, what about the Tabac cologne spray? It's not marketed as as an EDT or an EDC, just cologne spray. Usually retails for about $25... anyone try this? And how does it compare to Tabac shave soap?

The after shave splash is quite potent too. Why the need to add some more scent?

You know Speick EdC can last longer than most think. In my case, after a full morning (around 4 hours) I still get some hints of it around my neck. Anyway, the scent is so nice that it's worthwhile to give a try.
