To my nose the AS doesn't smell very close to the soap, there are similarities no doubt, but it smells....different. I think Alt Innsbruck is closer in scent to the soap than is the Tabac ASL, but that's just me

You're right! Shaving with Tabac then splashing on Alt Innsbruck is like living in an alternate universe where Maurer & Wirtz took things in a different direction. I do still think that Tabac AS is fantastic.
