Notes to today’s shave:

Still in and I am going to complete this one successfully!! Hold on brothers - just two more days!!

An educational shave today. It started out smooth and comfortable, but after the initial strokes I found myself having a hard time finding the right angle with this razor and blade.

More details on this shave can be found here.

Tomorrow is another shave. The R41 is up, but maybe I should give my skin a break.

Notes to today’s shave:

The blade performed and behaved thanks to the Ti95. Smooth and comfortable as well which was not the case with the other blade and other razors - so happy with that finding. In all I think this blade averages on 4-5 shaves for me.

Further details and more can be found in my journal here.

A fine Sunday shave. Enjoy yours today!

Kathy and I are trying to keep up with our 94 years young "mum" (as some of you guys across the pond would say). A family pizza and junk food party is planned for the afternoon followed by watching the Super Bowl.

"Mum" smelled the TOBS cream and instantly identified it as grapefruit. She also wondered why I have so many brushes! I got the 'look' from her that most of us can identify with when we discuss our hobby with the uninitiated.

On to the shave. It was rough. So was yesterday. Today I had a hot shower, good prep and a slick lather. I did my best to use no pressure. The second pass was still rough but better. I did a few touch up areas and ended with a DFS result.
I palm and towel stropped the blade and will make the lather as slick as possible tomorrow and see what happens.

Please take care of yourself and each other.

Artist Club blades (#7 & #19)
Body Shop Maca Root & Aloe
Orange essential oil
Omega Evo 2.o

The Hawk razor exposes the edge of the blade quite a bit. I get above average audio feedback when using it. Todays goal was to reduce the feedback by refining my 'no pressure' technique to the extreme. The blade glided quietly and smoothly with the blade on it's 19th outing. I did the same extreme no pressure technique with the DX. All it took was two passes.

The Body Shop soap is no slouch. It was super hydrated and super slick. It has "Cucumis Sativus Fruit Extract" (cucumber) in it but I added a couple drops of orange essential oil just to be safe with the Fruity February crowd. The orange extract really did brighten my mood.

I am really surprised how these Feather blades are holding up. I stropped both blades about 20 laps on my biceps.
Thanks to LJ, @LJBraaten for the stropping idea and Guido, @JAHE for the essential oil scheme to make any soap "fruity".

Please take care of yourself...and each other.

Notes to today’s shave:

Never too old to learn. I transferred the blade to the Swedish Swing, my last acquisition of 2022. And boy did it do justice to its name! A fantastic shave followed with the razor making the blade feel like almost new. Superb shave!

Enjoy you shave today!

Notes to today’s shave:

Same setup as yesterday because it was that good. Well the brush is different because I rotate on a daily basis. I entered double digits with the Tiger yesterday, but I cannot remember ever taking a blade to 11 shaves.
Three passes later and I was done with mostly BBS- results as far as I am concerned.

I only did two passes and ended up with a mostly SAS result but that was not the purpose for today. I wanted to experience what it would be like. I did follow up with my Philishave to get a better overall result. But I had tons of fun!

RR Hawk, Feather AC blade (26) Castle Forbes Lime and A & P Cashmere brush

I live inland and seldom see the ocean so here is a sunrise scene on my monitor as a backdrop.
I am a hills kinda guy but right now, the ocean waves, hypnotic sound and a steady breeze would be nice.

I seldom use this brush but what the heck, it's Synthetic Sunday for me.
The lime scent stayed throughout the shave. This blade is still giving a DFS finish.

Please take care of yourself... and each other.
