Sure you'll feel the difference. Can't say one is "better" than the other, but I prefer the broader size of the fan for face lathering especially with painting strokes.

I was surprised by this brush. It whips up a lather much different than any other brush I own, animal or synthetic. It’s quick to create a fine and dense lather. Totally upstaged all my other synthetics, and that’s kinda hard for me to say since I like scrub and backbone. I didn’t anticipate something so plush to be so good.

I've used both in different handles over the years.

Personally, I prefer the Synbad. Its softer and not nearly as springy. It also looks really cool.
