SuperMarket Type Gem Blades SE

I picked these blades up this morning at a Sweet Bay Supermarket. This chain is owned by Hannaford Bros and if your from the north are aware of these stores. These blades are made in Korea and bought them only because they are stainless steel and cheap($2.39 for 10) will give them a shot soon. I am thinking maybe they are made by Dorco.

Any good ?

I hope you got these in the shaving aisle. If so, you should be in for a good shave, assuming your Single Edge technique is up to par. The price is good. A 10-pack of name-brand GEM blades runs about $5 or $6 here in NJ.

If they came from the hardware section, beware. They will fit your razor, but shaving with them will turn your face to shreds. They are meant for scraping paint off a window or other utility use, not for shaving.

It says they fit all Single Edge Razors. Do they make stainless steel SE utility blades on purpose?

Those look like the same blades they sell at Harris Teeter for 3.99 I believe. The raised bevel on the top part looks identical.

I may have to get those out as well now. Thanks.

I am glad I didn't pay a lot for these blades because they are by far the worst of the worst. I used a new Hannaford made in Korea(Dorco?) stainless and you would think the blade had been used 15 times. Just dragged across my face. I immediately removed it and put in a Ted Peller Gem(someone was nice enough to send me some as a gift) Like night and day. The Peller Gem is wonderful.

Instead of tossing the Korean blades I will use it in my utility knife.
