Super Speed Red Tip Handle Metal

Hi All,

Anyone know what metal is used with the Gillette Super Speed red tip (1955 A-2)? Is it aluminum or brass? I believe the blue tip is the lighter weight aluminum handle.

User Zero; Rabidus has it nailed of course. The Blue Tip has an aluminum handle and hence the lighter weight. The weight of a Red Tip is 66 grams; The Blue Tip Super Speed weighs 45 grams. God Bless! Tony Brown RN mgbbrown

My red tip paint is wearing off. Just cleaned it tonight and put a fresh blade in. Might use it tomorrow.
