Super-Max Stainless Differences.

I like Super-Max a lot. I have a variety of different ones. I am about to stock up some more stainless ones and when I did some searching for the best price online I got a bit puzzled.
Are these three the same blade (only packed for different markets) or do they differ in some way? (I only have tried the ones in the blue package- the one in the midldle). I am a bit intrigued what`s in the bulk package as these are really cheap.

I am aware that there are even more vararities (sometimes the word Super is in front of Stainless but I suggest we leave these out of the discussion).
Sorry for lousy pics- I picked them randomly from the web.
Thanks for looking.

I believe the Plus normally means they are teflon coated. You may want to check the supermaxworld website to see what DE blades they currently make. There seems to be tons of disconnected stock out on the market. Witch may be fine with you, but if you get a 100+ blades and find most of them rusty you won't be happy.
BTW I agree with you, Super-Max are great blades. There super-cheep, mild every day save ability keeps them in my regular rotation.

Thanks for info given Rattbones. Unfortunately their web site does not give much information I am afraid. I agree with you that their constant re-packing is not helping us customers.
I think I managed to find a pic of the "bulk pagage" above. I´ll enclose a pic here.
Anyone else that could share a bit of light in these muddy waters I am swimming in?

I have experience with the varieties pictured on the left and left and middle. Have you already checked what is written on the blades that come out of the blue packaging? Because in mine I had blades that had "Supermax stainless" written on them instead of the "Supermax super stainless" which is written on the packaging.

The yellow/green packages do indeed contain the "super variety".

I have experienced the supers as sharp blades that are also a bit rough and the regular stainless as a bit dull. YMMV.

About the blue (left on first pic)- I got the same text on my blade- "Supermax stainless". Hey Joost- as you apparently have tried both the blues and the green/yellows and think that the blues are a little smoother I think I just skip the green/yellows. It´s likely that the ones that comes in bulk (far right in picture) is an updated package of the blues as the package design is all over their web site. Anyone that has tried the "bulk" version and can confirm this..? They are cheap as chips.

I bought a 100 of these last week and this is the packaging I got them in. Very cheap blades and so far only used one of them in my Fatip and I had a very smooth, decent shave from the blade. Very comfortable and so far I think they are very well priced. I bought a 100 as they were so cheap and gave me free packaging so I thought why not.

I had 2 3.5 pass shaves rfom the blade and it was a good shave with no problems and comfortable enough. Certainly didn't find them rough. Not the sharpest I've ever used but enough for a good 2 days shave.

Try the Supermax Titanium before you buy 100 of the others. The Titanium blades are my fave -- and also available at a great price.

I forgot that I actually have 10 Titaniums that I bought in springtime! Will try one tomorrow and we see how that goes. However these are in comparison a more expensive option.
Anyway I made a dash for it and a few minutes ago I bought 200 in that "bulk pick" that Griffo got. 200 for the decent price of £7.90 shipped to Sweden. Now that´s a good price. If they turn out to be duds I´ll PIF ´em.

Having now tried the SuperMax Stainless in my R41 last night I'll certainly be trying their premium blades as I've gotten on very well with the Stainless. As you mention the titanium are very competitively priced as well.

I tried the Titaniums this morning and they were GREAT. Do they justify the price difference? Well that´s up to the buyer. They are pricier than Astras SP that´s for sure. Anyone that spotted nice deals on Super- Maxs in general- please whisper them to the rest of us. Of all the Super-Maxs I have tried I never got a bad shave from either of them (Just hoping that the "bulk version" I will receive will be equally good and the ones on the last pic- not tested yet). Apart from the Titaniums these are the ones that I have tried so far (not my own pics- they have shamelessly been stolen from the web).

Any further word on the bulk stainless blades you got?
Curious as I too like Super-Max, and their price is very appealing!

I just got 200 Super-max super platinum for $14.50 with shipping on Ebay, had Super-max stainless brown packaging before. I like these just as well and I'm trying to decide if I them more than my Astra Sp.

I've tried both the Titanium and the Platinum and I can't tell the difference. Both are excellent, super blades, in my opinion. Weird thing is that the Titaniums seem to cost a few bucks more, but wouldn't you expect the blade called "platinum" to be the best and the blade called "titanium" to be a bit below "platinum"? I don't think that Super Max puts as much thought into the names as other companies do.

Oh- sorry. Yep I got ´em. The first blade I pulled out had stains that MAY look rust. Well I tried it anyway. Sharp blade that gave me very efficient shave. Not super smooth but decent and comfortable. Will give a second blade a try. Will be interesting to see if that one got stains as well (that may impact it´s performance).

Well now- THAT´S a good price. For clarity you do mean these right? If the seller is a storefront and are selling for fixed prices you are allowed to post the link which would be appreciated. BTW- I like these so much more than their regular plats (smoother and sharper).

I agree! I will not buy any more Titaniums. They are expensive and in that price range I prefer others.

Yep. My second blade (from the "bulk ones" does got those stains as well. Might be rust or residue (from oil). Good shave.
I say- if you are hunting low price get these- these "bulk ones pictured above" are nice but without the thrills. Otherwise get the Platimum Plus pictured above). YMMV as usual. Still looking for a good deal and if BERNIE got everyting right I am all ears... I can´t find BERNIE´s deal on the web- Bernie?
Mistake or?
Thanks

Sorry that was my fault they are the regular platinums, I have not tried those yet. The store front I was using was using a bidding system but there were others around the same price. Plus no one was bidding I think he does that just in case. You also pay a little less commission.
