Super Cooling Aftershave?

I am in the market for a super cooling after shave. Im thinking it would have to be a balm because all the splashes ive used (including ones that are cooling)
still are somewhat warming because of the alcohol burn. I have two cooling after shaves aqua vela and nancy boy, both are cooling but not what i would call "super" cooling. Let me know what you think.

Keep that Aqua Velva in the freezer and take it out just before your shave.
That'll do it.

I have heard the most super cooling splash and balm out there are the SubZero versions made by The Shave Den. They contain mint and menthol, and can even be made with double menthol. I have not tried them myself, but there was a thread a while back where the OP said he froze his face off with one of them.

Personally, I like Santa Maria Novella aftershave splashes; they smell great, have a nice menthol kick to them, and are fairly low in alcohol so they don't burn. They're not the most wallet-friendly options out there, though. Proraso aftershave splash is another cooling option, and is a lot more affordable than the SMN splashes, although is still quite a bit more expensive than the likes of AV. I'm not so keen on the Proraso splash scent, but I appear to be in the minority.

AV out of the freezer sounds like it would be pretty dang chilly, too. I'll have to try that some time.

I have Osage rub but find it to be a bit brutal. It's like those hot sauces that prize heat over flavor, to the point that it just overwhelms everything.

I prefer Stephan's Alpine Menthol for a powerful menthol hit that smells good and is refreshing, but doesn't leave you blindly walking into walls.

Osage Rub is VERY cold. I don't like it because it also cools my hands when I splash it on.

I REALLY like TSD's iced peppermint. You can get any of their milks with menthol. I also really like their iced cedarwood. Smells great!

For cooling non-splashes I like Mama Bear's Ice Lime. It's not a balm but a "milk." No sting, great cooling and it can be ordered with extra menthol. Great genuine lime scent, too.

For splashes I'm a fan of AV in the freezer as well. I find it gets warmed a little on my hands, but if I'm fast enough I get some extra cooling. Osage Rub is insane but I'm not a fan of the smell... it reminds me of cough syrup. Also, for me, the cooling hits hard but seems to fade faster than other products.

Osage Rub or go over to the The Shave Den store and ask for double menthol on any scented splash. Ice yumminess.
