Super Adjustable WOW!

I tried a Black Handle Super Adjustable ('70) for the first time this morning - all I can say is WOW! Same brush, cream, and blades as usual, but it seemed to just wipe the whiskers off. Could there really be that much of a difference between this razor and the slim that I am used to, or maybe was I just having a great morning?

Same here I've changed over to making it my daily shaver I don't know why but to me it gives a better shave than a slim maybe because of the longer handle just don't know.

I have a Super Adjustable as well, and simply love it. I have tried the Fatboy, and Slim, and find the Super Adjustable to be the best of the three. :thumbup1:

My go to razor. I have also heard these called Super Slims. I have two, one for home, one for travel. I assume that you have the long handled variety. The price of these has been creeping up on ebay.

I think it might be the lower profile head shape, as mine is slimmer and flatter than my 40's superspeed.

I've got two black beauties. They're my most recent ADs babies. They need the usual deep cleaning before I try them. I'll definitely report back.

What blades are you guys using with success in the Super Adjustable? At the moment I'm really digging Astra SP's in my black-handle Super Speed, so they'll get the first joy ride in my new razors.

Yes, and threads like this just adds to that effect!

I love my Super Adjustable as well!

I was watching a new old stock one on the bay last night, it ended at $87! A few days prior, a NOS model with the plastic plate ended at $53.

Apparently the one without the plastic plate is worth more. :tongue_sm

WOW! As much as I like my Super Adjustable I think I'd rather go for a new Merkur or Muhle/Edwin Jagger if the prices was the same.

I normally use feathers or iridium's but lately been using the WM Wilk's I just have to change blades every three to four days but they've been working well in the SA.
