Super Adjustable J1 impressions

i bid on a super adjustable thinking I wasn't going to win and lo and behold i did and it showed up in incredible condition IMO. In all honesty, i was intrigued by adjustables but didn't really want to buy one. Trying to keep my rad down.

got it saturday and I polished off some tiny water spots on the cap (rest was immaculate) with Mother's alum. polish and examined the movement and of course had just finished a shave moments earlier. I decided to wait until the next morning, but put the head profile against the Feather AS and portable and tried to determine at what adjustment they seemed very close. no scientific calculation, didn't go to the wiki for gap spaces, just took a look.

AM: I set this sucker on 9 with a wally ASR and went to town expecting to see some major damage. lots of audible feedback though and nice tight clean shave with a two passer, no ATG. threw on some Adidas Dynamic Pulse AS and i could feel the closeness of the shave. Looked great.

I wanted to shave again soon using the adustments, so I chose to stop and wait until later so I could shave in the PM.

PM: set the razor (same blade) on 3 for WTG pass and for 1 ATG pass and it was a mighty fine shave for a two pass. very close, but 1 was probably too mild for ATG, but cleaned me up nicely...

It was interesting to play around with and it's got nice heft and knurl.

last nites shave, 2 passer with the adjustable
pass 1 WTG on #6 nice and smooth
pass 2 ATG on #3, a bit too mild

it's got a nice balance and feel.

I really like the Super Adjustable too!

I'm interested in the head geometry comparison of the Super Adjustable with the Feather. I'm thinking of buying a Feather, and I've found that I like the relatively flat head of the Super Adjustable as compared to the more domed Slim Adjustable or of the Fat Boy. So the Feather is about the same as the Super Adjustable?

when researching what got, I honestly think i have a Slim ( i thought i changed the title).. i the wiki says the J1 is a slim? it looks exactly like the pic there.

in regards to the one i have, i will take a picture, the Feather stainless steel or portable? the heads all look very similar... All Stainless is on the lower-medium side it seems and the portable is on the medium-higher side.

I think there's a mistake in the headings in the wiki - the "Slim Adjustable" is all metal, while the "Super Adjustable" has the colored handle. There's no "super slim adjustable".
