What's new

Success.sort of.

After what seems like an eternity I finally beat my Ahab into submission. It is a little toothy but a much better writer than it was when I first got it. It involved far more effort than it should have and their is little satisfaction in using it now. I think I will set it aside until I decide what to do next. I have a couple of Wearevers to resac so maybe they will fit the bill or maybe I will breakdown and try a Lamy. :confused1

Sorry to read of your troubles. I understand that the Noodler's pens can be frustrating. That said, you have been able to correct the issues and now have a functioning pen! Well done. I have three Ahabs, three Konrads and the only issue I have had (beyond the learning curve of the thorough cleanse before use) is one of the Konrads leaked ink aound the feed. It was resolved by a bit of grease on the o-ring to create a better vaccum.

My Konrad is a disaster, two different nibs, every adjustment trick I could think of -- I'll never use it again.

Waste of money for me, I'd be embarrassed to give it away.

I have had luck with the Ebonite Konrad. If I try to flex it out, it railroads a bit, but for regular writing, it hasn't been half bad.

Congrats on conquering the Ahab!
