I get bored with the regular goatee, so I like to do something different once in a while. Wife doesn't mind this iteration so much, she just hates the soul patch. I was thinking about trying this again.

Did you use a goatee styling aid?

Never needed one. That is almost all the facial hair I grow is a goatee. It just needs trimmed up on the sides and underneath a bit and its done. I at one time had a beard/goatee that was several inches long and still nothing on the sides grew but a few patches.
