Strop Hardware

I stopped by a local leather goods store today and picked up a nice piece of cordovan colored leather...got it about 2.5" x 24". I've trimmed it up a bit and have got the end folded so I can put some hardware on there. I'm planning on using this as my practice strop, so my Ambrose that's coming in the mail doesn't take the brunt of my early stropping efforts.

So, what do you guys recommend for the ends? Where can I get a swivel lead/rivets/handles, etc.? I don't want anything fancy, just enough to mount it to a wall and a piece to hold on to. (I'd prefer a swivel for the piece that connects to the wall.

Thanks.

Alright, I'll weigh in I guess:

https://www.strapworks.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=MDR D-rings, 2inches is your friend, I like the Heavywire version

http://www.ahh.biz/products/hardware/hooks/Snap_Hooks_Nickel_lightweight_(www.ahh.biz).htm Again, the 2inch version.

I personally prefer D-rings for my hand-hold. You'll have to cut notches out of the leather so the D-ring and the Swivel Snap fit in.

Best Regards,
Jeremy

Hi,
Strapworks seems to have a variety of related products. I wonder where it would be nice to attach a snap hook.
