I have a vintage strop without handles or rings. I'm just starting to dabble a little with sharpening straights, and I'd like to get some hardware so I can practice stropping with more ease. Does Tony Miller or any of the online strop retailers sell DIY D ring kits, or should I try to find a local leatherworker? Thanks, gents.

Fromm sells the hardware for their strops separately. If you look in the description for the #206 strop you'll see a part number for the swivel.
How wide is the strop? You want hardware that fits the strop. If it's 2.75" wid and you want something that clamps, both Hand American and JimR (at Eastern Smooth) sell hardware that fits that. D rings you can find anywhere, the square metal links I haven't had much luck finding, but I just found this place, might be a viable option.

Those were some good sources back when I was trying to make my own strops. I say just buy a new one!
