Strange Gillette Case w/ Green Interior

This one was of those "I don't know what this is so I will buy it" moments.

The razor is not Gillette, however the case is something I have never seen before. Does anybody have any info about what this case is?

The top latch should be leather with a snap, if it is then a 1908, 1909 Single ring case.

If you look at the wording carefully it says: "Known the" on top and "world over" under the diamond. That would peg it more an old type set from the 1920s

I would say that is the one. Mid 20s.

Thanks Achim. I will buy a gold single ring from around that year and make the set correct.
