Thinning out the den. For sale today are the following three items.

1. Ralf Aust, 5/8” Round Nose, African Blackwood Scales. Shave ready. Box included. $115 USD

2. Full size, natural combo, Coticule from Ardennes. La Nouvelle vein with Belgium Blue back. The main stone is 175x75x25mm and it comes with a matching 25x75x22mm rub stone. The minimum Coticule thickness is 9mm. Wooden box included.

3. NOS Heljestrand scales. Rare natural material. Nicely finishes and never fitted to a razor. I believe these were made to fit the MK 30 razor. Excellent condition. Box not included. $190 USD

4. Sterling Silver soap spoon. May have been intended as an espresso spoon. Good for creams and croaps. Came as a pair but I only need one. Adds a bit of bling to the den. Almond not included! Shown for size only.

Neither. These scales are the real deal. Natural vintage material.

They look even better in real life. It’s hard to do them justice in a photo. They are fully polished and rounded in the typical Heljestrand style with a black wedge at the toe pin. They deserve to have a blade fitted but that it beyond my skill level. If someone has a matching blade it could probably be done professionally by one of the hone meisters in the community. Ralf Aust offered to fit a blade for the cost of a plastic scaled razor but I never took him up on that. He now has shipping restrictions to Europe only unless you upgrade shipping to DHL.
