Actually here's a thought what are you using for your pre routine. There's not something leaving a residue / covering so that the alcohol isn't making contact?

Actually here's a thought what are you using for your pre routine. There's not something leaving a residue / covering so that the alcohol isn't making contact?

Same pre routine as I used when I was getting my sting many months ago.

1. Wet face.
2. Wash face thoroughly with Pears Transparent (India) bar soap.
3. Rinse face thoroughly.
4. Face lather.
5. Shave.
6. Thoroughly rinse face.
7. Pat face dry with clean towel.
8. Apply after-shave splash.

So far, I have been able to get three enjoyable stings out of my first Bic three-blade cartridge. The Bic is still going strong.

I was able to get 12 stinging aftershave applications with the first cartridge of the BIC Hybrid 3. That 12th shave only produced the slightest of stings.

For my next shave I replaced the BIC cartridge with new and all was good again. Looks like 10 to 12 shaves with the BIC cartridge is about its limit for that sting sensation.

I guess you could always just ask one of your girls to give you a good smack right after your shave. Problem solved, you'll be back in sting heaven again.
