Straight Razor Shave By Barber

Ok guys I've haven't been here much so few days ago I came from my roadtrip. And yesterday I got a haircut and best shave here in Vancouver and it was really relaxing the hot towels. So the reason I'm posting this today is the next day and I already got huge and heavy stubbles. And when I was relaxing on chair with towel on my eyes. Barber was talking with my wife saying I have really coarse thick hair. Now my question is I know this will sound stupid but I'll say it. Is it possible to get my neck and face hair not coarse? And look smooth? Thanks

Sure it is. The hair on my lip and just on my chin is much more coarse than the rest of my face. I even have to use more aggression above my lip.

I believe he is asking if there is some way to actually reduce the coarseness of his hair, and the answer to that would be "no." How thick/coarse your hair grows is based on genetics, and short of taking estrogen pills or something, you can't change how the hair comes out of your face.

You can, however, greatly reduce irritation/cuts while shaving by doing proper preparation. Use a lot of moisture and heat to soften your whiskers really well before taking a blade to them, and you'll get a great shave. You'll have to (get to!) do it every day, but that will definitely keep you looking smooth.

Bluebeards revenge/Dreadnought claims that their shavecream reduces beardgrowth. I have no idea if it works, but it might be worth a shot.
