Straight razor mega haul

Hello all! If you are a part of any of the straight razor groups on Facebook you may have seen my post from last night. There’s SO MANY razors here. I’m currently sorting through them, weeding out the cracked and chipped razors. There’s so much that came with this lot! The gem in my eyes is a miniature Henckels barbers notch razor! There’s a Tiffany & Co. 7 day set box (sadly no razors) and even old documents! Regardless this was the find of a decade for me!

what’s baffling me is the TINY Henckels barbers notch razor. At first I thought maybe it was a corn razor but it’s not the right shape.

As a fan of 4/8 and even 3/8 razors, I have to say that that Henckels doesn't look odd to me at all. It looks like the kind of razor I'd buy.

It is still too big for a Leprechaun though, so the possible explanation that it was made for the Irish market does not hold up.

If you get a sec, I'd be really curious to see some closer shots of the smiling blade about a third of the way down the middle row with a sorta dolphin-looking point on it. Don't see that every day...

That's a great haul. Some absolute gems in that lot. I've got a Joseph Rogers and Sons straight that is about half the size of a standard straight. I haven't bothered to hone it but I've no doubt it could be honed and used. I've always thought of it as a display piece. I'm not sure what the original purpose of it was though. t's even got ivory scales.
