Straight Razor Honing/Polishing Help

I am new to the forum and just purchased my first straight razor. It is a Boker "Edelweiss" with pearl scales on it. The blade is in good condition (no pitting, rust, etc.) but it does have some spotting. The scales are in great shape and do not appear to need any work. I was wondering if I could get a recommendation on someone who could look the razor over, hone the blade (if necessary), and polish it up. I do not want to try to work on the razor myself as I have never done any restoration work before and this is a really nice specimen. Thanks in advance for your help.

Thanks Mark. Does anyone have personal experience using one of these guys? If so, would you let me know your thoughts?

Pretty much anyone who is on the list is stand up. If there have ever been any problems they would not be on the list.

I've personally haven't used any of them since I do my own but I feel comfortable to say I would use anyone on the list with my razors.

Welcome to B&B!

I like this list: http://wiki.badgerandblade.com/index.php/Honemeister

To know who's who, I would suggest searching threads started by those gents and see what kind of work they posted so far, it will give you an idea. If you have pictures of your Boker, please post them.

Wonderful score. Boker's are great shavers and this one doesn't look like it will take too much work from what the pictures show. If you get it to restorer they can mostly likely keep the razor in the original scales and polish it and hone it and you'll be set.
