Oops!Post 18, third photo? Hard to be certain. The ALL Kamisori Info Thread (Or at least to expand on Kento's Kamisori Korner)
I wanted to add to Kento's Kamisori Korner(http://badgerandblade.com/vb/showthread.php/268919-Kamisori-Korner) since I have been lurking and searching about( Kamisori ) and own one! First Kamisori in Japanese 日本剃刀 ( well nihon kamisori) Ura = side with stamps =...www.badgerandblade.com
They were sold in width in millimeters the largest size being 20mm, so I guess that the blade pretty much has its original width.Picked up this Dahlgren frameback. I mostly got it for the scales which as I suspected are ivory, and in good shape. I can't tell how close it is to the original width. It's a hair under 6/8 at the widest point. Other than the toe there's not much hone wear on the spine. But my quick math puts the bevel angle over 20 degrees.
I guess I'll hone it before I spend a lot of time cleaning it up to see how it shaves. There's some ugliness at the edge to work through. If it sucks I have an similar Engstrom coming that's in better shape. Maybe I'll face my fears and do a scale swap.

A very fine specimen. I hope you'll enjoy shaving with the 24 as I do.

I've had it for a good while but the scales were so dreary I felt the razor deserved a new jacket.
No but occasionally it can become amateur plastic surgery.Congrats on the shavette, @Shaun asleep! Be patient, enjoy and ask questions. This is not rocket science.
