I'm not a straight blade shaver, can't muster up the courage. That being said I'd like to find an old one to purchase. Specifically, one that was engraved or inscribed to a Firefighter or fire station. Have only seen a few of them, but thought I'd see if anyone here has ever seen them?

I can't say that I've ever seen one.
I can't recall seeing any of those...
just get a vintage razor, (any) and then look for a occupational mug. firefighter theme. i think you will have much more success doing it this way. and you still have the theme/effect you were looking for.
p.s. those mugs can get pricey. if it doesnt have to be a vintage, go to a pottery shop and make your own. good luck.

Yeah, the occupational mugs (real ones) are super expensive. Still would like that straight blade.. Was very cool.
Contact member username "mycarver". I guarantee he can make something for you and make it look old too.

Yes, there are mny vintage straight razors. However, I'm looking for a very particular one. Have only seen one and it was in a fire collection.
As mentioned, it's going to be a tough find, and if you DO find one, it's going to be very expensive, and most likely not in restorable condition.
The Masonic engraved straights are comparatively plentiful, and samples that are in horrible cosmetic condition sell for hundreds.
Something specific for a fireman would be exceedingly rare, as it hasn't been until the latter half of the 20th century that public safety employees made enough money to afford luxury items.
Made for a specific station is going to be even more rare, given that the vast majority of the country was volunteer during the time that such a razor might have been made.
I'm pretty sure that even occupational shaving mugs for firemen were extremely rare, primarily because in the 1800s and early 1900s, there were very, very few "occupational" firemen.
And likewise, occupational mugs were very special.
