Stop or Keep Going

Many have followed my other thread on "How Many Shaves"

As I approach 100 (never thought it would be possible) and start to ponder what to do after the 100th shave. I come up with two options. Kill the edge right after the 100th shave-seems like doing that would be an abomination but it would allow me the usage of other razors (I have only used my BB a handful of time-I know don't cry for me). Second option is to keep pressing forward and see "How many shaves" I can get.

Second option feels better, but man this is a difficult test, I have so many other razors that are giving me looks and talking about me, I have already strayed from my original premise to "only" use this razor until the test was completed as it became evident that it was way more than my original guess of 15-20.

So what do you guys vote? Remember a man's sanity is at stake.

Keep going. But for your sanity sake, just use it in rotation. Shave once a week or so with it. That way you get the best of both worlds!

I forsee that you aren't going to make it to 100(plans are already underway...), unless you have an epiphany ala Ebeneezer Scrooge and mend your errant ways...

^^^^ this You can still keep going and not tarnish what you set out to do, which is see how many shaves you can get. With the razors you have, I'm pretty shocked you have done it for this long.

+1 to this. Your experiment is to test the edge to see how many shaves it will get with just stropping. You don't have to use that blade exclusively to still finish that experiment. Rotating other razors in doesn't affect the experiments outcome, it merely will make it take longer to complete.

Lol the great edge retention and skillful shave and strop techniques have become an Albatross .

I would keep it in rotation as you came this far already. Maybe not using and stropping it everyday somehow adversely affects the egde...oxidation and such.
