Still looking for a good soap for oily AND sensible skin...

Alright folks:

I've used the search function. I've found tons of soaps that might fit my profile. I've asked my doctor and beauticians. Still, I'm not satisfied.

For years now I've had trouble with oily, sensible blemish skin. I've found creams i love (Speick comes to mind), even canned foam (yikes! But it's from Avène and rather good) and some soaps that make my skin feel, let's say, not too bad. But usually it's either a zit or a rash problem that comes after a couple of weeks.

I'm currently mixing the Wilkinson stick lather with safflower oil which gives good results - but now I'd like to have, you know, THE soap. The one to make me say "Whoa, one problem solved." The one that works well with sensible AND oily skin. But remains a soap that one can use with pleasure, no wallpaper paste.

So, has anyone experienced the same? And found an enjoyable solution? Right now I'm thinking about the soft Valobra soap - any experiences with that one?

Thanks folks!

My apologies, in German the term for "sensitive" equals "sensible". So I'm talking about sensitive skin. :D

No apologies necessary. I just wasn't sure. I know that AOS recommends some of their soaps for different skin types. As I recall they recommend AOS lemon for oily skin and Sandlewood for dry. I have only tried their lemon shave soap and it is a decent performer but it is not a bargain price. Good luck!

I don't have oily skin, so take my advice with that in mind. I keep multiple soaps and creams because I like to vary my shaves (in terms of moisturizing levels) from day to day depending on how my skin is. I've found that if I use certain products too many days in a row my skin will dry out, whereas with others I might get a (for me, rare) pimple because the products are sitting a bit too heavily on my skin. I've found that Proraso shaves will dry out my face if done too many times in a row (so I would think it would be good for oily skin), but the Proraso soap also provides an excellent, protective shave. I'm thinking this suggestion might be too obvious and something you've already tried, but it's the one thing I can think to suggest. Best of luck!

I have a semi oily skin and I tried C&E Nomad soap - since I felt that it left my skin just a little bit on the dry side- for you it may be perfect !
