I just tried this because I heard it was a classic.
To me, it smells like a horse stable.
The only worse one I tried was The Veg.

Try English Leather if you want to try a classic. A little old fashioned but it is actually quite nice.
I like it for what it is. Inoffensive drugstore to me.
I like Stetson, used it today. Don’t get the horses stable comparison but YVMV. I favour the straightforward simplicity and value of the drugstore offerings.

I have the regular and recently got Stetson Cooling Moisture after shave. and have been using it the last couple of weeks. I think the cooling one more. Pretty much the same scent, but I think it has more properties that help after the shave.

Stetson is one of the few older scents that I still like. Most reformulations make me want to pour them in the toilet!
I've used Stetson for over 30 years - Original Aftershave and Cologne. Get lots of complements on it. The Veg also works on me.

I miss Stetson Sierra. THAT was a masterpiece!
To all of those who don't like Stetson send them over to me in the UK, we cannot get it and I love the scent so I will gladly take your donations....
Stetson is a floral... Notable as a no-alky-burn AS.
