I won this brush on ebay years ago for just a few euros. Oddly, there were no other bidders. The barrel is hallmarked sterling, but the threaded portions are plated, as one would expect. My guess is that it was made in the 1930s or 1940s, and was part of a set - hence no brand markings.
It sat in a drawer for a long time until I cleaned it up and glued in a TGN knot. It is an excellent performer but, mainly, it has been a welcome sight on many a dreary, jet-lagged morning in some far-from-luxurious hotel bathroom, miles and miles from home.
