Stando Polska Silesia brass razor

One morning I found myself purchasing a razor.
I received it yesterday and would like to give a brief review .
I'm afraid of alcohol.

Stando Polska Silesia brass

Specs

Length: about 87mm

Weight of the head: 46 g

Handle weight: 65g (Suomi)

Handle diameter: 12 mm

Handle length: 80 mm

Blade gap: 1.02

I like the satin finish, but .......
Again, I couldn't resist and polished it before using it.
The glossy brass is the best.

Although stando's handle threads always leave metal cutting debris
Once the shavings are removed, the precision is as good as that of high-end products.

The usual metal box has been replaced by a paper cushioned box, which is more protective than the metal box.
Gillette Platinum 5pcs included.

Blade exposure is neutral to slightly negative.

Silesia is on the mild side according to Stando's aggressive chart

Since I was in the mood, I used the Gillette Platinum and shaved for two days beard.
I felt the comfortable feel of the blades and was able to shave smooth and worry free.
I got a great BBS with only 3 passes.

Yes, it is mild, but I feel it is very efficient.
The larger gap allows some freedom of angle.
I think it is slightly less efficient than the Timeless 0.95OC and the Blackbird SB.
Of course, the smoothness is up there.
I am sure it would be smoother and safer with a sharper blade.

Silesia is a great daily razor.

Speaking of which, I was worried about the polished Suomi handle slipping, but it exhibited a pretty good grip, good stuff.

Note: This razor is the brass version, so there is a slight difference from the stainless version (the gap for the stainless version is 1.00).
But they should perform about the same.

It is significantly smoother and little less efficient than chors from the same manufacturer.
Silesia I like it:)
Have a good shaving life everyone!

Fumbling about.
You will have to polish it over and over again if you want to keep it shiny.

Beautiful razor and a nice review.

Yes, but you will only have to occasionally polish it for a minute or so with Flitz and a rag. Easy as pie.

Excellent review. Thanks.

It's not a razor I will buy but it is a razor I was interested in learning about.

Happy shaves,

Jim

@Chan Eil Whiskers
Thank you.
The stando razors seem to be gentle and easy to handle especially the ones with a gap over 1.00
The ones with a gap over 1.25 are a bit more delicate, but still good.

If you get a chance, try the welse area.

Sorry guys, I just confirmed that the head has a slight reddish tint to it.
The first description on stando said the head was made of brass, but it looks like it is bronze (the description on stando Shop is confusing because it lists brass and bronze).

Please note that everything else is brass except the head
