30 years and a day ago, Mike Schmidt cracked his 500th major league homerun. I wish I was old enough to have watched him play and I wish Harry Kalas was still around to call ballgames for the Phillies.

I vaguely remember Crosley field . There was Gus Bell, Johnny Temple, Roy McMillan, Ted, Jim Greengrass, and many more.

I remember that one. I won't forget Ripken breaking Gehrig's Iron Man streak.

The moustache was a big player in MLB in the 80s

Frank Robinson winning the Triple Crown in 1966, then Yaz winning it in 1967. I asked my mom who she thought would win it in 1968, and she explained that it doesn't always happen each year. She was right.
