It is a great looking handle. The round knot seems to remind me a bird's eye.
My friend that lets me use his wood lathe works a lot with cedar. For him, the finished product doesn't retain the red color like yours did. For him it turns brown shortly after turning it. What's your secret for holding the color?

, the brown is probably going to come out. The camera is actually making it lookmore red and purple . I am thinking maybe it's the CA finish that's keeping the color .
