Speick stick

So while visiting friends in Augsburg this weekend I stopped by a small druggerie because I've been meaning to grab some Speick AS lotion for a while (works great!) and on the same shelf I noticed the Speick shave stick as well. Now I'm a huge fan of the cream but I've never bothered trying any sort of stick. I mean, seriously, how could rubbing a stick of soap on your face leave enough to build any lather? But it was only €2, Speick doesnt make a puck, and The cream has never failed me so I bought it. Let me tell you how wrong I was! This lather was amazing! Very thick and creamy, even with my less than perfect brush. I even mixed a little bit of cream in a bowl to get some superlather going on my second pass (It didn't really need the cream's help!). The stuff's an A+. Grab a stick. It's well worth it. I just wish it had come in a tube...I went ahead and put some foil over the top. Great lather, great protection, great fresh scent. My face feels great.

It took me some time to become acquainted with the Speick stick too, and now I wouldn't be without it. Ideal for travelling. I just let mine dry after use for 10 mins or so, and then it goes back in its box.

I have tried a handful of sticks, and Speick is the one I prefer when traveling. I find it easy to build a slick, cushioning lather with it. It seems to pair quite well with my Wee Scot.

Speick is great, just a bit hard to get overhere. Royse, you found it for 2 euro; can you tell me where in Germany they sell it for that price? I'll be passing through Germany this summer and for that money I will grab a few if I can find it! They are over 5 in the Netherlands, if you find them at all....

I bought mine at DM but I know I've seen them at Müller and Douglas (along with several other great brands: moos, tabac, Palmolive, etc) too.

Speick is on my short list of favorite shave sticks.

I need to break it out and use it more often when I am at home.

I put mine in a vintage Williams metal tube and use it for travel. I liked the scent so much, I traded for a bottle of Speick aftershave.

Having not tried Speick, is it on par with

Irish Moos?

DR Harris sticks?

These are the sticks I have.

This is purely my experience but out of the ~10 sticks I have tried, the ONLY one to remain in use is Speick stick. The lather, the skincare and that intoxicating scent makes Speick the perfect soap! I have a stick milled in a tub for times I want to use it like a puck and also have one in stick form for travel and when i'm in the mood to use a stick.
