Speick Shaving Cream drying out

Does the stuff seem to dry out quick?
just start straight shaving and when i do i use speick it seems to dry out during shave
being new to straight i might be going a little slow but i don't think i'm so slow that cream would start to dry up and float away

If dries up and floats away, maybe the lather is too dry to begin with? That happened to me once with TOBS: I felt like I was shaving inside one of those snow globes.
