Speick Scent

Hi there,

I was wondering, does Speick aftershave splash have a very strong scent or is it more subdued? Is it EO or FO based?

I'm wondering if it'll bother my eyes like aqua velva and masters bay rum do.

I just checked my bottle and fragrance isn't listed as an ingredient. It does contain the oil of the Speickenard plant so I guess it would be EO based. The scent isn't very strong and fades quickly, at least on me, I wish it had more staying power as I love the smell. It is really good stuff.

Cheers,
David

It has an extremely mild, green, plant sappy scent. The scent fades within minutes and if you wear cologne it will absolutely not interfere. Great stuff. My favorite aftershave.

The stuff smells just great and I sort of wish it would last longer, but it's gone in 15 minutes, flat out gone. I think if you're into heavy EDTs or manufactured super sweet or oceanic scents, you may not enjoy it. It's just straightforward natural, hint of pine and citrus, and some other woodsy smelling stuff.

It works really well. I just, ten minutes ago, went to town on my face with a Fat Tech, 2nd shave Crystal, and Speick Cream. I had three days growth and had to make three reduction passes then one XTG and one ATG, then some touch-up. My neck was feeling like it was going to be the color of a sunburn. A little splash of Speick to finish it off and I'm looking no worse for the wear. My neck looks pretty good. It's a little red in a couple of spots where I pushed too hard on the touch-up, but this aftershave pretty much put out the fire fast. Really good stuff.

Speick is my favourite aftershave. It disappears pretty quick, although I may notice it ever so slightly for a couple of hours. Very clean. Not at all like Tabac or Musgo or OS, etc. I'd be surprised if it bothered you.

Never tried Speick before.

See if I can find my wallet, he might be hiding in a corner somewhere crying after my last visit to classicshaving.com

i just recived their shaving cream and aftershave and can not wait to try it in the morning
aftershave smells great and you guys are right it is not too strong

Speick is on of my favorites and will always have a place in my den. The healing properties are like know other, very soothing. The scent fades away very quickly but couple with the Speick cologne it is wonderful. Drys down quick but trails on for a long time. It is a scent that stays close and personal. Great scent for work or play.

Given all the positive comments people here have said about it, you should have little problem unloading it in the BST if you find it is too hard on your eyes.
