Speick: mentholated?

I just had a really wonderful shave with Speick and noticed a cooling sensation after my first pass. Just the ticket in the crock pot weather we have going on in Texas right now. Is there menthol in this stuff? Either way, it was a refreshing feel and I think Speick is earning a go-to place in my rotation.

Speick is probably my favorite out of anything I have used since I started wetshaving over a year ago. I enjoy doing a superlather with my milled down Speick soap (tallow goodness) and a bit of the cream on the brush. I follow it up with the AS splash of course. I use this for a few days straight if I have some kind of skin reaction from other products which happens quite frequently. The healing aspects of Speick is untouchable for me. I really wish they would sell the soap in the puck form with a nice wooden bowl.

I'm not for sure but I don't think there is menthol in any of the Speick products.

I have been in pursuit of a combination that even comes close to Speick and found most of the French products (L'Occitane, PDP, PS Green Tea) working well for me.

Just checked the boxes of both the Speick cream and shave stick and menthol is not listed in the ingredients.

Speick is great SC! I agree that it has a cooling and refreshing feel to it. I don't believe that it has actual menthol in it however.

Here is an image of the ingredients listed on both boxes, cream on the left stick on the right.

Could be the lavender oil that is giving you the sensation. But I personally don't notice a cooling sensation when using Speick.

i don't believe there is any menthol in the a/s. i hate menthol and don't use a/s with menthol in it and speick is my top choice.
