Speed Honing on JNAT

Today I took my Nakayama Suita for a speed honing test ala Alex Gilmore's method.

I have done this before and have gotten great results.

This razor was shave ready, previously honed on a JNAT.

Come on guys from bevel setting to shave ready. One stone, one slurry, one dilution and all I get is nice stone-lol

been getting a bunch of customers from the local AOS..... christmas time ya know.... the AOS gives them my contact info whenever anyone buys a straight....

there are people in miami that are now in love with a JNAT edge.... *(haven't honed on anything else in a while....)

Makes me wanna get into JNATs now that I can see you don't really need to have thirty naguras of different shapes, sizes, hardnesses etc. Its becoming more and more like honing on a coti every day.
Could I imagine getting one of those 70 dollar JNATs on the bay from Paco's dealer and doing the same thing?

Oh and is that a scar near your thumb from careless hand stropping? I guess it's better to cut your hand rather than your cordovan strop whilst learning : )

OK, so I'm impressed you manage to get a razor to shave by rubbing it on a rock. I prefer to use stones such as that for their intended purpose along with a nice glass of Rioja:

It was shave ready but I killed the bevel on glass.

Funny I prefer to wrap my cheese on Saran Wrap not hone on it. Lol
