Started as a Manhattan ingredient, but finished up by in-laws this evening!

The Dickel Rye went quickly with the Whiskey Thymes made for my wife, company, and me, over the last week. My wife did buy a replacement today, though. I like Dickel because it isn't sourced, is easily available, and isn't outrageously priced.

EDIT: It is sourced!

Old Forester 86. Used primarily as a mixer, especially in Old Fashioneds. The bottle also took a hit on Derby Day. If I can't get Weller Special Reserve, this will become the all purpose bourbon mixer at my house.

Tis’ the season right? I was just telling my friend who loves this stuff, that I didn’t give it the credit it deserves. I came back to it and found it to be pretty good. Overpriced for sure.
Thanks for the info. I really would love to make a still, and I've never been a big whiskey fan, but the process just intrigues the snot out of me!
