SPC - Mississippi River (Special Reserve)

I acquired a tin of Seattle Pipe Club Mississippi River Special Reserve to give it a try. Since the first bowl, I am finding it hard to smoke anything else. I find the sour taste I'm getting is incredibly addictive and the smoke very enjoyable. 3 more tins are on the way. Regular Mississippi River, Mississippi River Rum Barrel Aged, and Plum Pudding Special Reserve are en route. Any insights into the differences?

Any recommendations of similar tobacco to MRSR?

I really enjoy the Rum Barrel Mississippi River. The rum gives it a nice sweetness.

Plum Pudding has black cavendish. Keep an eye open on cigarbid, they both come up frequently. I was able to pick up several cans last month on the cheap.

Thanks for that insight. After learning about Cigarbid, I have not bought much elsewhere. It is a wonderfully dangerous resource.

I have also tried Deception Pass. From the description it sounded like it would fit right in my wheelhouse. As of now, i will finish the tin and not repurchase this one.

Glad you enjoy the Miss River. I have a tin but have not tried it yet. Lots of good reviews on all the Seattle Pipe lines out there.

I find the best price on SPC stuff at Cigarbid...if you're patient.
