Spanish Fig & Nutmeg

Has anyone had any experience with Spanish Fig & Nutmeg shaving soap? I have a friend in another state that likes this soap very much and the aftershave or cologne, I am not sure which. With a large number of soaps in my rotation that I like, I hesitate to add another... but I may do so.

Thanks for your help,

Doug

I've never tried the soap, but the cologne is really nice. In fact, I liked the cologne so much that I put this soap on my "want" list, but I took it down a notch or two after reading some reviews that said it wasn't that good.

Once again, though, I have no first-hand experience with it. I hope it is better than that, because the scent of the cologne is really nice.

Yeah, I used to own it.

It's a very good -- but not great -- veggie-based soap with an understated, nutmeg-like scent. Sold it on the b/s/t. It's not a bad product, but I like the cologne much better than the soap.

There are also much worse soap choices out there. I bought the whole line for the fragrance, since I like to "match" everything if possible. The cologne is total win and the ASB is decent, just like the soap. I would call it "middle of the road." I find that the soap lather's well.

I have that puck of soap now. :001_smile

It smells wonderful, but it's only good, not great, as a shaving soap, so I don't use it much. Since it's all about the scent... Hmm... I might have to try the ASB, since I miss the scent.

The ASB looks enticing. I wish the manufacturer would provide an ingredients list.......

It is always good to find another with the same OBSESSION! Did I type OBSESSION? I meant ACQUISITION DISORDER!!!!
I really enjoy the soap for its fragrance as much as its lather-ability. It is nice to have a really different veggie-based soap for a shave. I also find the bath bar and shower gel GREAT!! The asb? Reasonably good. Absorbs quickly, fragrance lingers for a reasonable time, and performs the principal task of moisturizing well. Have never had any feu d'rassage with the shaving soap, so I can not say whether the balm calms or not. The only thing I can say about the cologne is, shame it doesn't market by the long tonne!
