Sunday Schick shave, September 11th 2022

Razor : Schick E2 Canadian variant, Mfg in 1930's > 40's, excellent mid range, for a light razor a light touch works the best, Very enjoyable shave this morning.
Blade : Personna SS PTFE(9)very sharp, excellent longevity, smooths out nicely + predictable.
Soap : Yaqi Musketeer Rapier, nice scent with excellent lather qualities. The scent is similar to Aramis cologne they claim. It has been so long since I used Aramis cologne I'm not sure but I like this scent. Yaqi commissioned Master soap creations S.A for their line of soaps and fragrances.
Brush : Yaqi mysterious space 24mm Timber wolf whiskers synthetic, excellent lather generator
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Witch hazel beard cleanse + Musketeer Rapier splash + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results :CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers=:a17: excellent shave with my Schick E2 Canadian variant with a coated Personna blade.

Brush: Shavemac 20/46 Silvertip 2-Band
Soap: Phoenix Scentsless
Razor: PBOCS (Phoenix Bakelite Open Comb Slant)
Blade: Gillette 7 o'clock Black (20)
ASL: Clubman VIBR

An interesting, and good, shave.

Barring a one-off shave two years ago, it's been five years since I last used my PBOCS regularly. At 16½ grams loaded, it's half the weight of my Fine Aluminum Slant. For a change (from the past) I went the "no-pressure" route (as I do with all my razors now). It was BBS no problem, but I still need more practice with it to get up-to-speed properly.

I remember going back to "normal" razors after my first solid month with the PBOCS. I couldn't believe how my technique had improved! Obviously, I'm hoping the same thing happens this time.

Happy shaves guys. :cornut:

First shave with an Ever-Ready Model 1912 Improved (ca. 1930-33), and it was… drum roll… wonderful! Two passes and some blade buffing for an irritation-free DFS+ bordering on BBS. Not bad for the first time. I love it! The shaving angle is (for me) very intuitive, very natural. I used a Gem Peraonna blade.
